FIRE: FPGA Innovation Research Exchange
Utrecht, 6 Dec 2023
FIRE is a series of seminars, organized by SURF and the Hardware Accelleration Network NL. While the focus is on FPGAs, the angle is much broader. Through events like these FIRE brings together FPGA practitioners, computer science and engineering experts, scientific computing experts, application owners and HPC providers. The goal is to build a community through which we discuss and evaluate the need and usability of FPGAs in HPC and Scientific Computing.
On 6 December the third FIRE-seminar takes place.
Vincent Hindriksen of Stream HPC will talk about how different accelerators competed in the past 15 years, and why we keep choosing GPUs during all that time. Giving industry insights and overview, Vincent intends to polarize the discussions during the coffee breaks, with a wink.
The programme is very interesting, and we’re honored to be invited.
