Altera makes FPGAs:
- Cyclone (smallest, low-end)
- Arria (‘V’ and ’10’ series available now)
- Stratix (‘V’ series available now, ’10’ in 2017)
Each FPGA can optionally have a built-in ARM CPU (SoC). With the acquisition of Altera by Intel, FPGAs will also get combined with a Xeon.
For HPC the Arria 10 is currently used most.
